Akhawayn’s Rising Talent: From Thrift Shop to Weld Al Akhawayn

Adel Abaab is a university student who I first came to know when I joined Akhawayn’s Drama Club in early 2012 (my first semester).

Since I withdrew from the club after some confrontations between the club’s members my relationship with him subsequently ended with absolutely no prospects of friendship (mutual I guess)

Last summer, Akhawayn Gossip Boy was created and Abaab was one of the first and most “blasted” students on the Facebook-based group. I don’t know how it got out, but a rumor stating that I was behind it started to spread and soon enough I found myself in a heated battle with Adel. Little did he or other accusers know that I only served as an admin for a small period of time and was about to leave the group.

Since then, we’ve never had any face-to-face confrontations but rather a raging war on the internet but today, I’ve decided to say the truth, to congratulates Abaab on his marvelous achievements and to showcase my deepest and sincerest best wishes for him to continue in this path. For me, and possibly to many others, Adel Abaab deserves to pursue a career in show-business as from the looks of it he is always not short of ideas and funny projects.

He is a great actor, a seemingly joyful person and a great impersonator and he sure in hell deserves to be on Mawazine as a friend of mine said to me.

So Why Do I hate the SSK1213?

When I first enrolled in Al Akhawayn University I never imagined that I will be studying something called “SSK”.

I first started with SSK1211 (got a B+) and then SSK1212 (got a C+) and now I’m studying SSK1213 which is AT LAST! the final SSK class! I hate the SSK1213 simply because it is simply pointless to me. I’m an International studies student and I don’t see anything fruitful in studying the SSK1213.

It is supposed to be “to improve the critical thinking” of students but as far as am concerned, the only thing we do is “fallacies, arguments ….. etc”. I just hate this school subject my dear diary and I WANT IT TO BE CANCELED! Killed off and deleted so that other students in the future avoid having to think so much about it and spend long hours studying for a class worth “2 CREDITS”.

Al Akhawayn University FUN RUN 2013: Can’t Forget This Day!

Ok, so today was a the Fun Run day organized by one of my university’s leading organizations ‘hand in hand’.

Basically, people run across the city of Ifrane with some being famous athletes and all the proceeds of this race go to charity. After the run, a lunch is served and again the proceeds go o charity. And then, students get to have some fun with people invited from outside the university and who are urged to buy tickets in order to play games and stuff (again $ to charity).

Before the event began I like other students bought Tombola tickets hoping I could win something! and FINALLY, I won a 1 day stay in a luxurious riad in fes for two!! I was surprised to hear my name while I was dancing it off with friends at the center of the soccer field. I surprised myself in how fun I can be or maybe I just forgot how fun of a person I can be!

At the end, A Gala is held and this year some of the biggest names in the Arab music world are performing such as Cheb Khaled and the Arab Got Talent band “Casa Acrobate” but importunately I didn’t buy a ticket to attend (500 Dh isn’t that cheap you know) But I HAD SO MUCH FUN!

Wafi Abdouss: The Life Of GB

Ok, so Many people say that I’m this guy who owns a group on Facebook called “Gossip Boy” and yes this group is similar to what “Gossip Girl” was doing and the reason why they think its me is ….. WHO KNOWS! Maybe because I was crazy enough to have imagined that Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane is the Berkeley of Morocco and started recording and publishing videos on YouTube under the Title: Ifrane90210 (yes its based on the 90210 series!).

For Now, the majority in my 1800-strong university think that Gossip Boy is me with some hating me, other fearing me and some even trying to befriend with me! My life is just wild crazy and you’re about to witness every bit of it!
